Comprehensive Autism Care Demonstration
ABA Education Foundation is a TRICARE-authorized ABA provider under the Comprehensive Autism Care Demonstration program. This program combines all TRICARE-covered Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services (including the former ECHO program) under one demonstration.

Payable services include periodic evaluation of the beneficiary, development of a treatment plan, and training of family members to provide services in accordance with the treatment plan. TRICARE also funds ABA direct services with children when provided by a TRICARE-authorized provider.

Comprehensive Autism Care Demonstration Program
ABA Education Foundation is certified by TRICARE to provide Educational Interventions for Autism Spectrum Disorders (EIA) Supervision and behavioral-based tutoring services under the Comprehensive Autism Care Demonstration project. This demonstration project allows reimbursement for behavioral-based tutoring services from providers. Authorized supervisors will be required to direct and oversee these tutors who will provide hands-on services to children with autism.

Who is eligible to receive services under the demonstration project?
Benefits under the demonstration project are available to: children of active duty service members, retirees, and TRICARE eligible Reserve Components; participants in member-plus-family coverage under TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS) and TRICARE Retired Reserve (TRR); individuals covered under the Transitional Assistance Management Program (TAMP) or TRICARE for Life (TFL); participants in TRICARE Young Adult (TYA); and those individuals no longer TRICARE eligible who are participating in the Continued Health Care Benefits Program (CHCBP).

Eligible benificiaries must be:

  • At least 18 months of age
  • Diagnosed by a TRICARE-authorized Primary Care Provider (PCP) or specialized autism spectrum disorder (ASD) provider with one of the following:
    • Autistic Disorder (AD)
    • Asperger’s Disorder (AS)
    • Childhood Disintegrative Disorder (CDD)
    • Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS)
  • Authorized by the TriWest to receive care under the demonstration
